I was lucky to work out of the same ambulance station as Steve for many years and had the privilege of working numerous long 12 hour shifts with him. Whenever I was rostered on with Steve, I knew we would have a lovely shift together and the 12 hours would not feel quite so daunting! (I still don't know how he got through the whole shift without eating anything). He was a lovely man, calm and capable in every situation and had a great sense of humour (often at my expense). RIP Steve x
